DESCRIPTION:Trauma‑Informed Care Practices Workshop for Child Care Providers\n“2-Session Workshop\, offered in English\, for Bridge Program families and Napa County Child Care Providers – In Person” \nSession 1: Saturday\, May 2nd\, 2026 from 1:30pm to 4:30pm\nModule 1: Promoting Safe and Supportive Environments for Early Childhood \nThis module provides an overview of trauma-informed care\, how it affects child development and behavior\, and strategies that support resilience in children. \nYou will understand types of traumas\, the foster care system\, what adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) are\, how trauma impacts the brain and behavior; and what strategies exist to support children\, build their resilience and minimize the adverse effects of trauma. \nSession 2: Saturday\, May 9th\, 2026 from 1:30pm to 4:30pm\nModule 2: Strengthening the Well‑Being of Child Care Providers \nThis module provides an overview of the importance of self-care and provides strategies for preventing burnout and negative stress. \nYou will learn about the concepts of trauma for adults\, understand the impact that stress has on physical\, emotional and relational health\, and know how to differentiate between burnout and compassion fatigue. In addition\, learn and practice self-care strategies to improve the personal well-being of the childcare provider. \nLocation:\nNapa Valley Community Foundation Conference Room\n3299 Claremont Way\, Suite 4 Napa\, Ca 94558 \n** Space is limited.
