Story Time at Napa Farmers Market

For 17 years, Community Resources for Children has been providing Story Time at the Napa Farmers Market. This program is made possible with the help of volunteer readers from the community. Story Time takes place every day that the Napa Farmers Market is open. The market is located in the South Napa Century Center, at 195 Gasser Drive. Volunteers may bring their own books to read to children (age appropriate 0-10 years old) or read from the selection provided by the Farmers Market. Sharing and reading books with children prepares them for school and establishes a foundation for lifelong learning. If you are interested in becoming a Story Time reader, please sign up here.

No Sweet Trick or Treat

Thank you to partner organizations, businesses, and the Wayne Grey Wilson Foundation for supporting this event. No Sweet Trick or Treat 2018 was a success! More than 100 children trick-or-treated through our building and visited our friendly neighbor nonprofits for non-sweet and non-candy treats. Browns Valley Dental, Napa Pediatric Dentistry, and Silverado Dental Care provided toothbrushes and toothpaste for the children, and Napa County Library provided the not-so-spooky story time!

Annual Community Literacy Day

The highlight in March every year is hosting our Annual Community Literacy Day! Last year, more than 50 children and their parents/caregivers enjoyed a puppet show and book swap. Stay tuned for the exciting event we have planned for 2020!

A Day in the Park

Bubbles, water play, police cars & motorcycles, snow, obstacle courses, slime, moon sand, and so much more! We had fun engaging in playful learning with more than 100 children and their parents/caregivers at a Day in the Park yesterday! A big thank you to our community partners who came out to share resources with families and activities with the children. Thank you to Napa Valley Coffee Roasting for donating coffee for our volunteers and staff and the City of Napa for co-sponsoring the event!
